Temper-Mental MissElayneous, born Elayne Harrington, is an accomplished performer in the Irish hip-hop and poetry scene. She wrote her first poem at the age of 9 and soon discovered hip-hop, which, along with her first love – punk, became her driving force. At 14, she adopted the name 'Temper-Mental' and added 'MissElayneous' at 19.
After several solo years on the circuit, the straight-edge punk rapper formed a duo with turntablist DJ FunkTom in 2014. Together, they are known as TMM, an anarcho-punk hip-hop duo collaborating with the edgiest producers from the 'crust of the underground' beatmakers and musicians.
Unrelenting lyrics and complex rap patterns, combined with sampling, scratching, beatboxing, and bodhrán accompaniment, make this Celtic hip-hop duo an aggressively playful, provocative, and engaging live act and a full-on experience.
